Platanias is a popular coastal tourism resort in Chania. The village is devided into Ano Platanias, offering great views and Kato Platanias that offers an amazing beach. In the area there are several hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops. Not far from the coast is the island of Agioi Theodoroi.
